Grab your sneakers, family, and friends - and join us for Chatham Grove Elementary’s 3rd Annual Gator Chase on Sunday, March 26th at 8:00am. This year’s Gator Chase will have a 5k or 1 mile option with 100% of registration fees being applied towards the implementation of landscaping, sun shades, and other exterior enhancements. Chatham Grove Elementary is looking forward to making improvements to the exterior play spaces.

All participants registered prior to Saturday, March 4th will receive a Gator Chase t-shirt. We are unable to do an additional shirt order after this date. If you register after March 4th, you can find the shirt in our spirit wear store to make a separate purchase. Registration will close Thursday, March 23rd.  We will not be able to offer on-site registration the morning of the race. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs allowed on race day out of safety for participants and spectators. 

NOTE: In the interest of safety, no vehicles will be permitted anywhere on campus. Please use the parking lots at Pollard Middle School, the The Park at Briar Chapel (off Parker Herndon Rd.) and surrounding community areas. Briar Chapel residents who can walk to campus are encouraged to do so, if possible.

Gator Chase Race Route


Here is our Race Route for the 2023 Gator Chase! The route begins as you exit the front loop of school and continues through the lot, around the school and you’ll turn around at Parker Herndon Rd and come back along the route. Our 1 mile racers will run this route one time and exit at the start line. Our 5k racers will make two laps of the full run to complete their race. Signage and volunteers will be there to help. There will be water stations along the route and places to stop and rest as you need. Get ready for a fun race day!
